1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting, browsing, or purchasing from this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use this site or place an order.

These terms apply to all visitors, customers, and anyone who accesses or uses the Moreno Makes website or services in any capacity.

2. About Moreno Makes

Moreno Makes LLC is a Texas single-member limited liability company operating a custom and production furniture business based in San Angelo, Texas. All products are made to order and built by hand in our San Angelo shop.

3. Made to Order Acknowledgment

Every product offered by Moreno Makes is made to order. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

Your piece is built specifically for you after purchase
Production begins within the lead time stated on the product page
Standard retail return policies do not apply to made to order goods
Natural variation in wood grain, color tone, and texture is expected and is not a defect

Lead times are estimated and not guaranteed. Moreno Makes will communicate any significant delays in writing.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. The price charged at the time of purchase is the price that applies to your order.

Product Line Orders Payment is collected in full at checkout before production begins.

Custom Orders A 50% deposit is required before any build is scheduled. The remaining 50% balance is due before delivery or pickup. Your piece will not be released until payment is received in full.

Moreno Makes reserves the right to cancel any order and issue a full refund at its discretion.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation and refund terms are governed by the Moreno Makes Return & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

In summary:

Product line orders may be cancelled within 48 hours of purchase provided production has not begun
Custom orders may be cancelled within five business days of deposit provided materials have not been purchased and fabrication has not begun
Once production begins, orders are non-refundable
Natural wood variation, grain character, and tonal differences are not grounds for cancellation or refund

6. Warranty

All qualifying products are covered under the Moreno Makes Limited Craftsmanship Warranty. Warranty terms, duration, coverage, exclusions, and the claims process are detailed in full on the Warranty page, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

This warranty covers repair or replacement only. Moreno Makes is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, loss of use, or any damages exceeding the original retail value of the product.

7. Custom Orders

Custom builds are governed by the Moreno Makes Custom Furniture Agreement, which must be signed before any custom production begins. The Custom Furniture Agreement is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Submitting a custom inquiry form does not constitute an order, guarantee a quote, or reserve a build slot.

8. Delivery

Local Delivery Local delivery includes in-home placement, leveling, packaging removal, and a customer walk-through. The customer is responsible for ensuring clear access, safe conditions, and space readiness prior to delivery. Moreno Makes is not responsible for pre-existing floor damage, structural instability of the home, or hidden floor weaknesses.

Freight Shipping All freight shipments are fully crated and insured for retail value. The customer is responsible for inspecting the crate before signing the delivery receipt. Any visible damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading at the time of delivery. Failure to note damage at delivery may void carrier claims.

Storage Fourteen days of complimentary storage are included after build completion. After fourteen days a storage fee of $25 per week applies. After sixty days without payment or pickup the project may be declared abandoned, the deposit forfeited, and the piece resold.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website including but not limited to product designs, structural plans, photography, text, branding, and the Moreno Makes name and logo are the exclusive intellectual property of Moreno Makes LLC.

You may not:

Reproduce, copy, or replicate any Moreno Makes design or structural concept
Use any photography or content from this site for commercial purposes without written permission
Attribute Moreno Makes work to another builder or brand
Present Moreno Makes designs as your own

Customers are welcome to share photos of their purchased pieces on personal social media. Personal sharing does not require permission. Commercial use of any Moreno Makes content or imagery requires prior written approval.

Residential customers remain anonymous by default. Their home environment, name, and location will not be shared without explicit permission. Commercial clients may be asked for permission to tag their business and location in relevant posts. If a commercial client declines, their anonymity is fully respected.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moreno Makes LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of this website, the purchase of any product, or the delivery of any service.

Our total liability in any matter related to a purchase is limited strictly to the retail value of the product in question.

Moreno Makes is not responsible for:

Delays caused by carrier or freight companies
Damage occurring after delivery and customer acceptance
Damage caused by customer misuse, neglect, or improper care
Loss of use during any repair or replacement period
Third party labor costs incurred by the customer

11. Force Majeure

Moreno Makes is not liable for delays or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, supply chain disruptions, illness, or government restrictions. In such events, timelines will be adjusted and customers will be notified in writing.

12. Right to Refuse Service

Moreno Makes reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or decline custom inquiries at its sole discretion. If an order is cancelled by Moreno Makes, a full refund will be issued.

13. Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to accurately represent our products including dimensions, materials, and finish options. However, due to the nature of solid wood and handmade production, minor variations may exist between what is shown on the website and the finished piece. These variations are not defects and are not grounds for return or refund.

Screen color representation may vary depending on your device. Moreno Makes does not guarantee that colors displayed on screen will exactly match the finished product.

14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, the following process applies:

Step 1 — Informal Resolution. Both parties agree to make a good faith effort to resolve the matter directly before pursuing further action.

Step 2 — Mediation. If informal resolution fails, both parties agree to mandatory mediation before initiating any legal action.

Step 3 — Legal Escalation. Litigation is permitted only if mediation is unsuccessful. All legal matters are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and are subject to Texas jurisdiction.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising under these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Texas.

16. Changes to These Terms

Moreno Makes reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
