The custom process is a structured, collaborative build from concept to delivery. Every custom piece receives the same structural discipline, material integrity, and finish standard as anything in the product line — with the added layer of being designed around you.
How It Works
Step 1 — Submit Your Inquiry. Fill out the Custom Inquiry Form below completely. Incomplete submissions are not processed. The form exists to make sure your project is feasible, aligned with our capabilities, and worth your time before either of us invests further.
Step 2 — Review. Once your inquiry passes all of our criteria, you'll be contacted within 3 business days to schedule a consultation call. If it falls outside our current scope, you'll be notified respectfully.
Step 3 — Consultation Call. This call is to try and get to know you. It's a working conversation — we'll clarify your expectations, discuss materials, talk through structural considerations, and give you a general price range. No final quote is given on the call. If the range doesn't work for you, there's no obligation to continue.

We'll follow up by email and work through the details from there.The process and requirements don't change. Email just gives you a different way to move through them.
Step 4 — Written Quote. If you'd like to move forward after the call, a detailed written quote is delivered over the corse of 4 business days. Three design revisions are included during the quoting process. A revision is any change to dimensions, structure, material, hardware, or aesthetic direction after the quote is finalized. Additional revisions beyond three are subject to a design fee.
Step 5 — Agreement & Deposit. A signed Custom Furniture Agreement and 50% deposit are required before any build is scheduled. You have a 5-business-day cooling-off window from deposit to cancel for a full refund. Once materials are ordered or fabrication begins, the deposit is non-refundable.
Step 6 — Build Your piece moves through our full production process — material intake, acclimation, construction, finishing, and quality control. You'll receive a build start notification and a completion notification when your piece is ready. If you would like notifications for each build process, feel free to let us know!
Step 7 — Final Payment & Delivery The remaining 50% balance is due before delivery or pickup. Your piece will not leave the shop until payment is complete. Local delivery includes in-home placement, leveling, and a full customer walk-through.
What to Know Before You Submit
Lead time for custom builds is 8 to 10 weeks from signed agreement and deposit. This reflects the care, acclimation time, and finish process every piece requires. We don't rush builds.
Storage — 14 days is included after completion at no charge. After 14 days, a $25 per week storage fee applies. After 60 days without payment or pickup, the project may be considered abandoned and the deposit forfeited.
All designs — drawings, structural plans, and concepts — remain the intellectual property of Moreno Makes and may not be replicated.
